Appearance

This product is a colorless, clear, viscous liquid.

Indication

This product is a local anesthetic. It is mainly used for surface anesthesia (including mucosal anesthesia during thoracoscopy or abdominal surgery).

Usage and Dosage

Adults often use 2% syrup to apply to the outer walls of ducts such as the esophagus, pharynx, trachea or urethra; women can use a cotton swab to dip 5-7 ml and apply it locally during vaginal examination; the dosage is 200-400 mg during urethral dilation or cystoscopy.

Adverse Reactions

1. This product may occasionally cause hypersensitivity reactions and allergic reactions; 2. It may cause bronchospasm in patients with hypersensitive respiratory tract; 3. Overdose and too rapid absorption of this product may lead to poisoning reactions, manifested as central nervous system excitement symptoms such as tinnitus, excitement, irritability, and may rapidly develop into convulsions, coma, and decreased blood pressure; 4. Excessive blood drug concentration may cause slowing of atrial conduction velocity, atrioventricular conduction block, ventricular fibrillation, and cardiac arrest.

Precautions

It should not be used in the following situations: 1. Those with a history of drug allergy and idiosyncratic reaction; 2. Severe heart block, including II or III degree atrioventricular block, bifascicular block; 3. Severe sinus node dysfunction; 4. Those with pre-existing intraventricular conduction block.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Neonatal use may cause poisoning. Premature infants have a longer half-life than normal infants (3.16 hours: 1.8 hours), so it should be used with caution. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product crosses the placenta and binds to fetal protein more than adults. Mothers taking this drug may cause bradycardia or tachycardia in the fetus, and may also cause methemoglobinemia in the newborn, so it should be prohibited. Precautions for the elderly: The dosage should be adjusted according to the needs and tolerance of the elderly.

Drug Interactions

If this product is absorbed, it may interact with the following drugs: When used in combination with cimetidine and beta-receptor blockers such as propranolol, metoprolol, and nadolol, lidocaine metabolism in the liver is inhibited, lidocaine blood concentration increases, and adverse reactions to the heart and nervous system may occur.
