Fluorescein Sodium Injection

After 0.5-1g of intramuscular injection in adults, the content in cerebrospinal fluid is less than 0.00002% 2 hours later. After intravenous injection, about 60% is bound to plasma albumin. This product does not participate in metabolism in the body, nor is it firmly bound to tissues. It is mainly excreted from urine through the kidneys, and a small part is excreted from bile through the liver, and is basically excreted from the body within 24 hours.

Fluorescein sodium

1. Diagnostic medication; 2. For diagnosis of corneal injuries, ulcers and foreign bodies, fundus angiography and circulation time measurement; 3. Also used for intraoperative display of gallbladder and bile duct, and auxiliary diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis, etc.

1. Circulation time measurement: Injection into forearm vein, the usual dose for adults is 5ml (10%). The usual dose for children is 0.05ml/kg (10%) based on body weight, and the whole dose is quickly pushed in within 1 second. 2. Intravenous injection for fundus angiography: the usual dose for adults is 5ml (10%), or calculated based on 15-30mg/kg of body weight, and the whole dose is pushed in about 4 seconds. 8 seconds after injection, continuous photography is performed with a fluorescent fundus camera under blue light wave excitation, starting at 1 frame per second for 10 seconds, and then taking films at appropriate intervals within 30 minutes. Direct observation can also be performed with an ophthalmoscope. 3. Intravenous injection of 5ml (10%) for intraoperative display of gallbladder and bile duct 4 hours before surgery. 4. Cerebrospinal fluid permeability test (for diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis) intramuscular injection, the recommended dose for adults is 5-10ml.

Allergic reactions to this product include: urticaria, dyspnea, asthma attack, respiratory arrest, hypotension, shock, cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, pulmonary edema and cerebral infarction. Common reactions include nausea, vomiting and dizziness, which usually occur within 30 seconds after injection. The incidence and severity of the reaction are related to the concentration and injection volume of the injection. A single intravenous injection of 5ml (5%) often causes nausea and vomiting. The total incidence of reactions during angiography of this product is about 0.6%, and the severe reaction is about 0.4%. There may be local pain after intramuscular injection. After intravenous injection, the skin and urine are temporarily stained, and objects appear yellow or pink.

1. Those who are allergic to this product are prohibited from using it; 2. Those with a history of asthma and other allergic diseases are prohibited from using it; 3. Those with severe liver and kidney damage are prohibited from using it; 4. When measuring blood circulation, patients with congenital ischemic heart disease and pregnant women are prohibited from using it.

Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated for use during pregnancy.

1. Taking metoclopramide (Metoclopramide) 10 mg and antihistamines 30 minutes before intravenous injection of this product can help reduce nausea and vomiting. 2. This product should not be mixed with acids, alkaline salts and heavy metal salts.
