Function and Efficacy
[Pharmacology and Toxicology] This product has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect, especially high antibacterial activity against aerobic Gram-negative bacilli. It has good antibacterial activity in vitro against the following bacteria: Most bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family, including Citrobacter, Enterobacter cloacae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio, Yersinia, etc. It often also has antibacterial activity against multi-drug resistant bacteria. It has high antibacterial activity against penicillin-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae, enzyme-producing influenza bacilli and Moraxella. It has antibacterial activity against most strains of Pseudomonas such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This product has antibacterial activity against methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus, and only moderate antibacterial activity against Streptococcus pneumoniae, hemolytic Streptococcus and Enterococcus faecalis. It has good antimicrobial effects against Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma, Legionella, and also has antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and atypical mycobacteria. Poor antibacterial activity against anaerobic bacteria. Ofloxacin is a bactericide that acts on the A subunit of bacterial DNA helicase, inhibiting DNA synthesis and replication, leading to bacterial death. [Pharmacokinetics] According to literature reports, adult patients drip 0.3% ofloxacin solution in the middle ear cavity, 10 drops at a time, twice a day, a total of 14 times. The blood drug concentration after 30 minutes of ear bath is very low, at 0.009-0.012μg/ml. Pediatric patients drip 5 drops of 0.3% ofloxacin aqueous solution in the middle ear cavity once, and the serum concentration is low after 120 minutes, not exceeding 0.013μg/ml.

Appearance
This product is a light yellow-green clear liquid.
Indication
Used to treat otitis media, otitis externa and tympanitis caused by sensitive bacteria.
Usage and Dosage
Ear drops. Adults should use 6 to 10 drops at a time, 2 to 3 times a day. After applying the ear drops, perform an ear bath for about 10 minutes. Increase or decrease the number of ear drops according to symptoms. For children, reduce the number of drops as appropriate.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally there is middle ear pain and itching.
Precautions
Patients who are allergic to this product and fluoroquinolones are contraindicated.

Precautions for children: Generally not for infants and young children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution for pregnant women. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
Drug Interactions
Long-term and excessive use, after local absorption, may produce the same drug interactions as systemic medications, such as increasing the blood concentrations of drugs such as cyclosporine and probenecid, and interfering with the metabolism of caffeine.
