Bartholinitis, intrauterine infection, adnexitis, parametritis 7. Cellulitis around the jaws, jaw inflammation In the clinical studies (including double-blind trials) of 2,819 cases of intravenous injection, intravenous drip and intramuscular injection in 137 hospitals in Japan, the clinical results of 1,409 cases that can be judged as effective and belong to the approved indications of this product are as follows (for refractory or severe infections, the daily dose is increased to 4 grams (potency) for adults and 150 mg (potency) for children according to symptoms)/kg body weight): 1. Sepsis: The total effective rate for sepsis caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae is 80.6% (25/31), and the dosage is 2-4g per day for adults and 50-150mg/kg for children. 2. Respiratory system infection: The total effective rate for respiratory tract infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus, Morganella morganii, Providencia, etc. is 79.7% (267/335). The dosage for drip or intravenous injection is 2-4g per day. In the double-blind trial, the efficacy of this product has been verified. 3. Biliary tract infection: This product is well excreted into bile and can reach a high concentration in bile. The total effective rate for cholecystitis and cholangitis caused by Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae is 83.1% (49/59). The dosage is 2~4g per day. 4. Peritonitis: The total effective rate for peritonitis caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Bacteroides, Prevotella (except Prevotella biloba), etc. is 87.596 (161/184). Most of them are intravenous drips, and the dosage is 2~4g per day. 5. Urinary tract infection: The total effective rate for cystitis and pyelonephritis caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus, Morganella kurschniki, Providencia, etc. is 73.1% (302/413). The dosage is mostly 1~2g per day. The results of a double-blind controlled trial on chronic complicated urinary tract infections have proved the efficacy of this product. 6. Gynecology and Obstetrics: The total effective rate for vestibular glanditis, intrauterine infection, adnexitis, and parametrial tissue inflammation caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Peptostreptococcus, Bacteroides, and Prevotella (except Prevotella biloba) is 94.796 (232/245). The dosage is usually 2-4g per day. 7. Oral Surgery: The total effective rate for perimandibular cellulitis and jaw inflammation caused by Peptostreptococcus is 83.896 (119/142). The dosage is usually 2-4g per day.

Usage and Dosage

Usually for adults, 1-2 grams (titer) per day, divided into 2 intravenous injections or intravenous drips. Usually for children, 25-100 mg (titer)/kg body weight per day, divided into 2-4 intravenous injections or intravenous drips. In addition, for refractory or severe infections, the daily dose can be increased to 4 grams (titer) for adults and 150 mg (titer)/kg body weight for children according to symptoms, and administered in 2-4 doses. For intravenous injection, 1 gram (titer) of this agent is dissolved in 10 ml of sterile water for injection, normal saline or glucose injection, and injected slowly. In addition, this agent can be added to the rehydration for intravenous drip. When dissolving the intravenous drip agent (100 ml bottle), do not use distilled water for injection (because the solution is not isotonic).
