Theophylline Ephedrine Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Antitussive and antiasthmatic drugs. Three purine compounds (theophylline, theobromine and caffeine) relax bronchial smooth muscles by inhibiting phosphodiesterase and increasing intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate levels; ephedrine relaxes bronchial smooth muscles by stimulating β-adrenergic receptors; and belladonna relaxes bronchial smooth muscles by blocking M cholinergic receptors. The five drugs work synergistically by relaxing bronchial smooth muscles together.
Ingredients
This product is a compound preparation. Its main ingredients are 25mg of theophylline, 15mg of caffeine, 25mg of theobromine, 10mg of ephedrine hydrochloride, and 2mg of belladonna extract powder per tablet.

Indication
Used for bronchial asthma.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 1-2 tablets at a time, once a day. Maximum dose: 2 tablets at a time, twice a day.
