Function and Efficacy
Sophora flavescens contains a variety of alkaloids such as matrine and oxymatrine. Animal experiments have shown that matrine has a significant therapeutic effect on Ehrlich ascites carcinoma and S180, and has a certain effect on cervical cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, gallbladder cancer, lung cancer and esophageal cancer. Foreign countries believe that matrine is a promising anti-cancer drug. The effect of oxymatrine is roughly the same as that of matrine. Japan reported that its therapeutic effect on S180 is 7 to 8 times greater than that of mitochondrial mycorrhizal. According to clinical research data, 8% decoction and 1:3 water extract of Sophora flavescens have different degrees of inhibitory effect on some common skin fungi in vitro. Alcohol extract has an anti-trichomoniasis effect in vitro, which is weaker than that of Coptis chinensis, but similar to that of Cnidium monnieri. For the treatment of trichomoniasis vaginitis, 0.5 grams of Sophora flavescens powder is mixed with an equal amount of glucose, boric acid powder and kudzu powder as a single dose for local treatment. Once a day, 3 consecutive times as a course of treatment, 176 cases were clinically observed, and the total effective rate was 71.5%. Oral administration of Sophora flavescens powder capsules or Sophora flavescens tablets can treat human intestinal trichomoniasis. Adults take 1.2 to 4 tablets of crude drug three times a day, and children take less. Generally, a course of treatment is 10 days. According to the observation results of 54 cases, the clinical cure rate is 50%.
