Function and Efficacy

This product is an oral third-generation broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic. This product has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus (except faecal Streptococcus) and Streptococcus pneumoniae; Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Shigella, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, especially against Serratia, indole-positive Proteus, Enterobacter, and Citrobacter, which are less sensitive to cephalosporins. It is stable to β-lactamase produced by bacteria. However, this product is ineffective against drug-resistant microorganisms such as Pseudomonas, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, and Enterococcus.

Appearance

This product is a film-coated tablet, which appears white or light yellow after removing the film coating.

Indication

This product is suitable for the following infections caused by sensitive bacteria: 1. Ear, nose and throat infections, such as otitis media, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc. 2. Lower respiratory tract infections, such as acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, acute tracheitis, acute bronchitis, etc. 3. Urinary system infections, such as uncomplicated urinary tract infections, complicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis), male acute gonococcal urethritis, etc.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration, appropriate amount each time, add to appropriate warm boiled water, stir evenly and then take. Common dosage: Oral administration within 1 hour before or after meals, for adults and children over 12 years old, 500 mg each time, twice a day; for children under 12 years old, 10 mg per kilogram of body weight each time, twice a day; for adults with complicated urinary tract infection, all daily doses should be taken once within 1 hour before or after dinner, for male patients with gonococcal urethritis and female patients with non-complicated cystitis, take once within 1 hour before or after meals, a single dose of 1500-2000 mg (in the evening for cystitis) can fully eradicate pathogens. Dosage adjustment: Elderly: The recommended adult dosage does not need to be adjusted for the elderly. Children under 12 years old: Take each dose once.

Adverse Reactions

1Digestive system: common diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. Occasionally, there may be pseudomembranous colitis, abdominal distension, heartburn, abdominal discomfort, increased blood bilirubin, transient increase in aminotransferase, etc. 2Skin: Occasionally, there may be itching, local edema, purpura, rash, etc. 3Central nervous system: Occasionally, there may be headache, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, etc. 4Hematological system: Occasionally, there may be leukopenia, eosinophilia, thrombocytosis, etc., which are all transient reactions. 5Other rare reactions include: gingivitis, proctitis, conjunctivitis, drug fever, etc.

Precautions

It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to cephalosporins.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: There is no reliable clinical data on the effectiveness and safety of this product for newborns. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: 1. Due to the lack of clinical data on human fetuses, this product is not recommended for use during pregnancy. If there is a serious infection with microorganisms sensitive to this drug, the pros and cons must be fully weighed. 2. No metabolites of this product have been found in breast milk. Precautions for the elderly: The recommended adult dosage can be used, and no adjustment is required for the elderly.

Drug Interactions

Antacids and H3 receptor antagonists have no effect on the pharmacokinetics of this product. So far, there have been no reports of this product affecting laboratory test values and/or methods, and no damage to renal function has been observed in patients receiving concomitant diuretic therapy when using this product.
