Function and Efficacy

This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with a fast onset of action. It may produce analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. This product has no accumulation effect.

Ingredients

The main ingredient is diclofenac potassium. Its chemical name is 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl)amino]phenylacetate potassium.

Appearance

This product is a hard capsule, the contents of which are white or off-white granules and powder.

Indication

This product is suitable for the short-term treatment of the following acute pain: pain and inflammation after trauma, sprains, muscle strains, etc. Postoperative pain and inflammation, such as dental or orthopedic surgery, etc. Gynecological pain and inflammation, such as primary dysmenorrhea or adnexitis, etc. Pain caused by spinal syndrome. Non-articular rheumatism. Severe infectious pain and inflammation of the ear, nose and throat (such as tonsillitis, otitis, sinusitis, etc.), should be used at the same time with anti-infective drugs.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration, before meals. Adults: 100-150 mg (4-6 tablets) per day; for milder symptoms, 75-100 mg (3-4 tablets) per day, divided into 2-3 doses. For primary dysmenorrhea, the general dose is 50-150 mg (2-6 tablets) per day, which can be increased to the maximum dose of 200 mg (8 tablets) per day according to the condition, or as directed by a doctor.

Adverse Reactions

1. Gastrointestinal reactions: the most common adverse reactions, mainly stomach discomfort, upper abdominal pain, burning sensation, acid reflux, poor appetite, diarrhea, nausea, etc., which can disappear after stopping the drug or symptomatic treatment. A few patients may experience ulcers, bleeding, and perforation; 2. Nervous system manifestations include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, excitement, etc.; 3. It can cause edema, oliguria, electrolyte imbalance and other serious adverse reactions; 4. Other rare adverse reactions include transient increase in serum transaminase, jaundice, rash, arrhythmia, granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, etc. in some patients.

Precautions

1. This product or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may cause asthma, urticaria or other allergic reactions. 2. It is contraindicated for patients with peptic ulcers.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Not recommended for use under 14 years of age or under doctor's advice. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant women, especially in the first and last three months of pregnancy. This product enters breast milk in very small amounts. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution in elderly patients, and if used, close observation should be made during medication.

Drug Interactions

1. Drinking alcohol or using it with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs will increase gastrointestinal adverse reactions and the risk of ulcers. Long-term use with acetaminophen may increase the toxic side effects on the kidneys; 2. Use with anticoagulants such as heparin and dicoumarol and platelet aggregation inhibitors may increase the risk of bleeding; 3. Use with potassium-sparing diuretics may cause hyperkalemia; 4. Use with verapamil and nifedipine, the blood concentration of this product increases; 5. This product can increase the blood concentration of digoxin and lithium preparations, and the dose of digoxin and lithium preparations should be adjusted when used together; 6. When used with antidiabetic drugs, this product may affect the efficacy of the latter, so it needs to be considered carefully; 7. When used with antihypertensive drugs, this product may affect the antihypertensive effect of the latter; 8. This product can reduce the excretion of methotrexate, increase its blood concentration, and even reach toxic levels, so this product should not be used with medium or large doses of methotrexate; 9. When used with cyclosporine, this product may increase the toxicity of the latter.
