Docusate Sodium Tablets

The main ingredient of this product is docusate sodium. Chemical name: 2-sulfosuccinic acid di (2-ethyl) hexyl ester sodium salt Molecular formula: C20H37NaO7S Molecular weight: 444.56

This product is a film-coated tablet, which is white or off-white after removing the film coating.

Used for chronic functional constipation.

Oral administration. Adults take 1 to 3 tablets a day. Take a high dose before the first bowel movement and a lower dose during the maintenance phase. The effect will take effect after 1 to 3 days.

Some patients may experience abdominal bloating, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, anal pain, dry mouth, insomnia, headache, and rash.

1. It is contraindicated for patients with ongoing abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or intestinal obstruction. 2. It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to docusate sodium or any of the ingredients in this product.

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: There is not enough data for pregnant women. Animal studies do not have sufficient data on the effects of drugs on pregnancy and embryonic and fetal development. The potential risk to humans is not yet clear. In widespread use, there are no reports of adverse effects. It can only be used during pregnancy when the benefits outweigh the risks. Docusate sodium may be secreted in breast milk, so breastfeeding mothers must be warned. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

Do not take with mineral oil.
