Piracetam oral solution

This product is a brain metabolism improving drug. It has the functions of activating, protecting and repairing brain cells. It can increase the ATP/ADP ratio in the brain, promote the absorption of amino acids and phospholipids, protein synthesis and the utilization of glucose. It reduces cerebral vascular resistance and increases cerebral blood flow. The acute toxicological test of animal experiments showed that mice were given a dose greater than 10g/kg without death. The median lethal dose (LD50) of intravenous administration is 9.2g/kg. Subacute and chronic toxicological experiments did not find any adverse effects on the growth and development of rats and dogs. It has no effect on important internal organs and functions such as blood, heart, liver, kidney, and brain.

This product is a clear liquid with a pale yellow or orange to yellowish brown color; it tastes sweet and slightly bitter.

A medicine that promotes thinking and memory. It is used for children with memory impairment and mild mental retardation caused by brain trauma or cerebrovascular disease.

Adults take 0.8-1.6g orally, 3 times a day, 3-6 weeks as a course of treatment. The dosage for the elderly and children is halved.

Some patients experience dry mouth, loss of appetite, urticaria, and memory and thinking impairment, but no toxicity has been observed with long-term use.

It is contraindicated for patients with liver or kidney dysfunction.

Precautions for children: Forbidden for newborns. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product easily crosses the placental barrier, so it is forbidden for pregnant women; the indication for use in lactating women is not yet clear. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
