Collagenase for injection

This product is an enzyme drug. At physiological pH and temperature, it has the function of hydrolyzing natural collagen, thereby dissolving the nucleus pulposus and annulus fibrosus of the herniated intervertebral disc.

This product is a sterile lyophilized product of collagenase with appropriate amounts of stabilizers and excipients.

This product is white or off-white freeze-dried block or powder.

This product is used for lumbar disc herniation that has not responded to conservative treatment

Before use, dissolve with 2 ml of sodium chloride injection and inject 1200 units once in the intervertebral foramen, epidural or intradiscal. Injection method: The patient lies on his side, and the needle is inserted from the posterior side of the spine. Under the fluoroscopy of the X-ray TV screen, the needle is inserted into the intervertebral foramen of L4-L5 or L5-S1 along the transverse process of the lumbar vertebra for epidural or intradiscal injection.

Some patients may experience worsening back pain, which can be relieved by injection of analgesics when necessary.

Severe cardiovascular disease. Severe liver and kidney dysfunction and pregnant women are prohibited from using this product. People who are known to be allergic to this product are prohibited from using this product.

The optimal pH range for collagenase is 6-8. Higher or lower pH values will reduce the activity of the enzyme. The activity of the enzyme is also affected by some detergents and heavy metal ions, such as mercury and silver, which are used in some preservatives. When it is suspected that these metal ions have been exposed, they should be carefully rinsed repeatedly with saline before using collagenase. Soaking in solutions containing metal ions and acid should also be avoided, because this will carry metal ions and the pH value will be low. Cleaning materials such as hydrogen peroxide, Dakin's solution, and saline are miscible with collagenase.
