Appearance
This product is slightly yellow to light yellow powder; odorless and tasteless.
Indication
Potassium-lowering drugs are mainly used to prevent and treat hyperkalemia in patients with acute and chronic renal insufficiency and renal failure.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 20g per day for adults and 5-10g per day for children, divided into 1-3 doses. When taking, the powder can be suspended in 150ml of water, stirred and taken immediately.
Adverse Reactions
1. Digestive system: constipation, nausea, loss of appetite and stomach discomfort. Taking it with sorbitol can relieve constipation. 2. Electrolytes: Hypokalemia may occur. You should pay attention to the condition and measure serum electrolytes regularly.
Precautions
1. Patients with hypokalemia and hypercalcemia are prohibited from taking this product. 2. Patients with fructose intolerance, 1,6-diphosphate fructose deficiency, and methanol poisoning are prohibited from taking this product with sorbitol.
