Elastase Enteric-coated Tablets

This product is an endopeptidase that can hydrolyze elastin, collagen and glycoprotein, enhance the activity of lipoprotein esterase, prevent the synthesis of cholesterol in the body and promote its conversion into bile acid, reduce plasma cholesterol, LDL, VLDL and triglycerides, increase HDL, prevent lipid deposition on the arterial wall, decompose old elastin and promote the synthesis of new elastin, maintain vascular elasticity, inhibit the hypertrophy of glomerular basement membrane, and reduce the excretion of trace protein in the kidney.

The chemical name of this product is: Elastin hydrolase extracted from porcine pancreas.

This product is enteric-coated tablets, which are off-white or light yellow after the enteric coating is removed.

It is clinically used for type II and IV hyperlipidemia (especially type II), atherosclerosis, fatty liver, and diabetic nephropathy.

Oral administration, 300-600 units at a time, 3 times a day.

Occasionally, allergic reactions may occur, and mild gastrointestinal symptoms may occur, such as abdominal distension, loss of appetite, etc., and pain in the liver area, dry mouth, and numbness of the lips may also be seen. Generally, no treatment is required and it can heal on its own.

Contraindicated in patients allergic to elastase.
