Amitriptyline tablets

This product is a tricyclic antidepressant, which works by inhibiting the reuptake of 5-hydroxytryptamine and norepinephrine. It has a stronger inhibition on the reuptake of 5-hydroxytryptamine, and also has stronger sedative and anticholinergic effects.

The main ingredient of this product is amitriptyline hydrochloride.

This product is a sugar-coated tablet, which appears white after removing the sugar coating.

Used to treat various types of depression, this product has a strong sedative effect and is mainly used to treat anxious or agitated depression.

For oral administration, the usual dosage for adults starts with 25 mg once, 2 to 3 times a day, and then gradually increases to 150 to 250 mg per day, 3 times a day, depending on the condition and tolerance. The maximum dosage should not exceed 300 mg per day, and the maintenance dosage is 50 to 150 mg per day.

Anticholinergic reactions may occur in the early stage of treatment, such as hyperhidrosis, dry mouth, blurred vision, dysuria, constipation, etc. Adverse reactions of the central nervous system may include drowsiness, tremor, and dizziness. Postural hypotension may occur. Occasionally, epileptic seizures, bone marrow suppression, and toxic liver damage may occur.

Patients with severe heart disease, recent history of myocardial infarction, epilepsy, glaucoma, urinary retention, hyperthyroidism, liver damage, and allergy to tricyclic drugs.

Precautions for children: Children under 6 years old are prohibited to use. Children over 6 years old should reduce the dosage as appropriate. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women should use with caution. Lactating women should stop breastfeeding during use. Precautions for the elderly: Start with a small dose and reduce the dosage as appropriate depending on the condition.

1. When this product is used in combination with sultopride, the risk of ventricular arrhythmias is increased, which may lead to torsades de pointes. 2. When this product is used in combination with ethanol or other central nervous system depressants, the central nervous system depressant effect is enhanced. 3. When this product is used in combination with adrenaline and norepinephrine, it is easy to cause hypertension and arrhythmia. 4. When this product is used in combination with clonidine, the latter's antihypertensive effect is weakened. 5. When this product is used in combination with anticonvulsants, the effect of anticonvulsants can be reduced. 6. When this product is used in combination with fluoxetine or fluvoxamine, the plasma concentrations of both can be increased, convulsions can occur, and adverse reactions can be increased. 7. When this product is used in combination with atropines, adverse reactions can be increased. 8. When used in combination with monoamine oxidase, hypertension can occur.
