Appearance
This product is a white or off-white thick semi-solid containing a large amount of solid powder.
Indication
Treatment of periodic and recurrent oral ulcers.
Usage and Dosage
For topical use, apply appropriate amount of this product to oral ulcers 4 times a day.
Adverse Reactions
Transient pain, irritation or burning at the application site, contact mucositis, nausea, diarrhea

Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: The safety and effectiveness of this product in children are not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: There is still a lack of data on the use of this product by pregnant and lactating women. Animal experiments have shown that amlexanox can be found in the milk of lactating rats, so pregnant and lactating women should use it with caution. Precautions for the elderly: Clinical studies did not include a sufficient number of patients aged ≥ 65 years to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the drug for the elderly. The elderly are more likely to have decreased liver, kidney, and heart function, or be accompanied by other diseases or other drug treatments. Therefore, the elderly should pay attention to the dosage of the drug and it is best to consult a doctor before use.
Drug Interactions
In vitro studies have shown that amlexanox is an effective inhibitor of the formation and release of inflammatory mediators (histamine and leukotrienes) in mast cells, neutrophils and monocytes. Oral administration to animals has shown that amlexanox has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects, and inhibits immediate and delayed allergic reactions.
