Serogroup A meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine
Function and Efficacy
According to the difference of its antigen-capsular polysaccharide, Neisseria meningitidis can be divided into at least 7 serogroups, including A, B, and C. 95% of epidemic meningitis in my country is caused by group A pathogens, which is different in other countries (for example, 85% to 95% in the United States are caused by groups B, C, and w-135). Therefore, my country's vaccine is prepared with purified capsular polysaccharides of group A epidemic meningococci. Antibodies can be detected in the body 1 to 2 weeks after vaccination, reaching a peak in 12 weeks, and immunity can be maintained for at least 1 year to prevent epidemic meningitis caused by group A meningococci. The main targets of vaccination are children aged 6 months to 15 years in epidemic areas and those who plan to travel to and work in epidemic areas.
Ingredients
This product is made by freeze-drying the polysaccharide antigen obtained by liquid culture of group A meningococci and purification.
Indication
Prevention of epidemic meningitis caused by serogroup A meningococci.
Usage and Dosage
1 The target of vaccination is children aged 6 months to 15 years. The age of initial vaccination starts at 6 months. Infants aged 6 to 12 months are given 2 injections of 30 micrograms at an interval of 3 months. At 2, 4, 7 and 10 years old, revaccination is performed with the same dose. Both initial vaccination and revaccination are completed before the epidemic season of meningococcal meningitis. In the event of an epidemic, the age group can be expanded for emergency vaccination. 2 Dissolve the dried vaccine with the attached buffered saline, shake well, and use immediately. 3 Subcutaneously inject 0.5 ml into the deltoid muscle on the outside of the upper arm. Subcutaneously inject 1 time into the deltoid muscle on the outside of the upper arm, with a dose of 30 micrograms of polysaccharide antigen (0.5 ml).
Adverse Reactions
The adverse reactions are mild, including local pain, redness and swelling, a few headaches, dizziness, and occasional short-term low fever. People with epilepsy, shock, brain diseases and allergic history, organic diseases of the heart, liver and kidney, active tuberculosis and acute infectious diseases, and fever should not be vaccinated.
Precautions
Absolute contraindications: injection is not allowed in the following cases. Patients with mental and nervous system diseases such as epilepsy, encephalopathy, hysteria, convulsions, sequelae of encephalitis, etc. People with allergic constitution or severe drug allergy. People with immune deficiency, leukemia, lymphoma, systemic malignant tumors or those who use corticosteroids, alkyl compounds, anti-metabolism drugs or radiotherapy to reduce immune response. General contraindications: Injection can be postponed for those with fever, acute infectious disease, acute disease, active pulmonary tuberculosis, acute exacerbation of chronic disease, and injection can be given after the disease improves and stabilizes.
Drug Interactions
It cannot be administered at the same time as measles vaccine.
Storage
Store at 2-8°C, the shelf life is 2 years from the date of freeze-drying.
