Function and Efficacy
1Doxofylline is a derivative of methylxanthine, which relaxes bronchial smooth muscle by inhibiting phosphodiesterase in smooth muscle cells, blocking adenosine receptors, interfering with the movement of calcium ions in smooth muscle cells. 2Inhibits the release of various inflammatory mediators and cytokines, thereby controlling airway inflammation and reducing airway hyperresponsiveness.

Appearance
This product is white or off-white tablets.
Indication
Dyspnea caused by bronchial asthma, wheezing chronic bronchitis and other bronchospasms.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration, usually 0.2-0.4g per time for adults, twice a day, 3 hours before drinking or after meals. Severe asthma patients should take the medicine according to the doctor's advice. The dosage for children is 12-18mg/kg per day, or according to the doctor's advice.
Adverse Reactions
A very small number of patients experience symptoms such as palpitations, sinus tachycardia, upper abdominal discomfort, poor appetite, nausea, vomiting, excitement, and insomnia after taking the medicine.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to doxofylline or xanthine derivatives, patients with acute myocardial infarction, and breastfeeding women.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: There is no data on the efficacy and safety of children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It is forbidden for lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: The clearance rate of this product may be different for elderly patients, and blood drug concentrations should be monitored.
Drug Interactions
1 Barbiturates have no significant effect on the metabolism of this product. 2 In animal experiments, macrolides (such as erythromycin) have no significant effect on the metabolism of this product. When used in combination with fluoroquinolones such as enoxacin and ciprofloxacin, the dosage should be reduced.
