Ribavirin spray

In vitro, it has the effect of inhibiting the growth of respiratory syncytial virus, influenza virus, hepatitis A virus, adenovirus and other viruses. After entering the virus-infected cells, this product is rapidly phosphorylated, and its product acts as a competitive inhibitor of viral synthase, inhibiting inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase, influenza virus RNA polymerase and mRNA guanosine transferase, thereby causing a decrease in intracellular guanosine triphosphate, damaging viral RNA and protein synthesis, and inhibiting viral replication and spread.

Ribavirin

This product is a colorless clear liquid. When you press the manual pump, the liquid will spray out in mist.

Spray inhalation, spray into the nasal cavity and throat. Once every 4 to 5 hours, one spray into the nasal cavity and 1 to 2 sprays into the throat.

This product has low toxicity. The adverse reactions of oral administration include anemia and fatigue, which disappear after stopping the drug. Since respiratory viruses in breast milk are self-limiting, this product is not used in this case. Precautions for the elderly: This product is not recommended for elderly patients.

This product has an antagonistic effect when used together with zidovudine, because this product can inhibit the conversion of zidovudine into active zidovudine phosphate.
