Streptomycin sulfate
Indication
It is used to treat tularemia, plague, severe brucellosis and glanders (often in combination with tetracycline or chloramphenicol). It is also used as a second-line treatment for tuberculosis, often in combination with other anti-tuberculosis drugs.
Precautions
1. It is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women; 2. It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to streptomycin or other aminoglycosides; 3. The dosage should be adjusted promptly for patients with renal dysfunction; 4. It should be used with caution in patients with cranial nerve damage, myasthenia gravis, parkinsonism, etc.
Special Population Medication
Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated for use by pregnant and lactating women.
