Function and Efficacy

This product is an H2 receptor antagonist. It has an inhibitory effect on the secretion of gastric acid and pepsin. Patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers were given this product at a dose of 20 mg twice a day for 1-2 months, and there was no effect on the gastrin level in the blood. Normal people and patients with peptic ulcers were given this product at a dose of 20 mg twice a day for 4 weeks, and there was no effect on the levels of prolactin, gonadotropin and sex hormones in the blood.

Appearance

This product is a colorless clear liquid.

Indication

Upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by peptic ulcer, and bleeding from gastric and duodenal mucosal erosion caused by various reasons other than tumors and esophageal and gastric fundus varices.

Usage and Dosage

Slow intravenous drip of 20 mg, twice a day (12 hours apart), for five days. Once the condition permits, the intravenous administration should be quickly changed to oral administration.

Adverse Reactions

Headache, dizziness, constipation and diarrhea are rare, with incidences of 4.7%, 1.3%, 1.2% and 1.7% respectively. Rashes, urticaria (drug discontinuation should be given), leukopenia, elevated aminotransferase, etc. are occasionally seen; abdominal distension, loss of appetite, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular menstruation, etc. are rare.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for people who are allergic to this product, those with severe renal insufficiency, and pregnant or lactating women.
