This product is a semi-synthetic progesterone derivative, which has a certain inhibitory effect on hormone-dependent tumors. Its mechanism of action is the same as that of medroxyprogesterone, which may be through the influence on the secretion of pituitary gonadotropin, controlling the development and growth of ovarian follicles, thereby reducing the production of estrogen. It acts on androgen receptors, preventing their synthesis and reuse, interfering with their binding with estrogen, and inhibiting tumor cell growth. In addition, it can also antagonize glucocorticoid receptors and interfere with the interaction between steroid hormone receptors and regulatory proteins related to cell growth and differentiation.

Normal dose: 160 mg (one tablet) each time, orally, once a day. High dose: 160 mg (one tablet) each time, orally, 2-4 times a day.

Weight gain is a common adverse reaction of this product, which is caused by an increase in body fat and body cell volume, and is not necessarily accompanied by fluid retention. 3. Thromboembolic phenomena have been rarely reported, including thrombophlebitis and pulmonary embolism. Other reactions may cause breast pain, galactorrhea, vaginal bleeding, menstrual disorders, and facial flushing. 5. There are also adrenal cortisol effects, moon face, hypertension, and hyperglycemia. The incidence of uterine bleeding is 1-2%. 6.
