Function and Efficacy
The mouse spontaneous activity experiment showed (n=20) that the high, medium and low doses of 9.75, 3.90 and 1.95 g.kg-1.d-1 of this drug could significantly inhibit the spontaneous activity of mice, and the difference was significant compared with the blank control group (P<0.05). The rat experiment showed that it could significantly inhibit spontaneous activity. The 15-day administration had a significant synergistic effect on the sedative and hypnotic effect of subthreshold dose of sodium pentobarbital in mice. Ingredients
Ziziphus jujuba seed, bupleurum, white peony root, julibrissin flower, julibrissin bark, silkworm pupa, cicada shell, and rush.
Appearance
This product is a capsule, the contents are brown to brown powder, with a slight odor and bitter taste.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration. 3 capsules at a time, 2 times a day. Take after dinner and before going to bed.
Adverse Reactions
Except for a few patients who had mild stomach discomfort that could be relieved by themselves, no adverse reactions were found. Acute toxicity test: mice were gavaged with 360g·kg-1·d-1 of Shumian Capsules (equivalent to more than 720 times the daily dose of humans), and the mice were generally in good condition, with no deaths for 7 consecutive days. Long-term toxicity tests of rats given continuous gavage at doses equivalent to 30 and 60 times the daily dose of humans showed that this product had no effect on biochemical indicators such as blood and urine, no histopathological changes in important organs such as the heart, liver, kidney, and brain, no obvious adverse reactions were found, and there was no dependence or addiction.
