This product is a contact laxative that stimulates the nerve endings of the intestinal mucosa by contact with it, causing increased reflex peristalsis of the rectum and leading to defecation.

Chemical name: 4,4'-(2-pyridylmethylene)-diphenol acetate

This product is a white or off-white suppository.

Used for the treatment of constipation, for cleaning the intestines to empty the intestines before abdominal X-ray or endoscopy, and for cleaning the intestines before and after surgery.

For rectal administration, take one pill at a time, once a day.

Occasionally it may cause significant abdominal cramps, which disappear after discontinuation of the drug. Rectal administration is sometimes irritating, and repeated use may cause proctitis. It has also been reported to cause excessive diarrhea.

It is forbidden for pregnant women to use.

Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated for use during pregnancy.
