Fluticasone Propionate Cream
Function and Efficacy
Fluticasone propionate is a highly effective glucocorticoid with local anti-inflammatory effects. After transdermal administration, the inhibitory effect on the HPA axis is very weak, so its therapeutic index is higher than most commonly used steroid preparations. Subcutaneous injection produces a strong systemic glucocorticoid effect, but the oral effect is weak, which may be due to metabolic inactivation. In vitro tests have shown that this drug has a strong affinity and agonist effect on the human glucocorticoid receptor. Fluticasone propionate has no expected pheromone effect and has no obvious effect on the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, and respiratory system.
