Function and Efficacy
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is involved in amino acid metabolism, the synthesis of neurotransmitters, collagen and interstitial tissues. Appearance
This product is a colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.
Indication
1. Used to treat scurvy. 2. Treatment of chronic iron poisoning: Vitamin C promotes the chelation of iron by deferoxamine, accelerating the excretion of iron. 3. Can be used to treat idiopathic methemoglobinemia. 4. Can be used to supplement vitamin C when the body's vitamin C requirement increases significantly.
Usage and Dosage
Intravenous drip. 0.25-0.5g per day; if necessary, 2-4g per adult, 1-2 times a day or as directed by a doctor
Adverse Reactions
1. Long-term use of large amounts of vitamin C may occasionally cause urate, cysteine or oxalate stones; 2. Rapid intravenous injection may cause dizziness and syncope; 3. Large-scale use (daily dosage more than 1g) may cause fever, flushing, fatigue, insomnia, headache, frequent urination (daily dosage more than 600mg), nausea and vomiting, stomach cramps, gastric reflux, diarrhea, etc.
