Alfuzosin hydrochloride is a quinazoline derivative that can selectively block postsynaptic alpha-adrenaline receptors distributed in the bladder, urethra, and prostate triangle, antagonizing the receptor-mediated contraction of the lower urinary tract smooth muscle, thereby improving the symptoms of dysuria in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Appearance

This product is a white film-coated tablet, which appears white or off-white after the film coating is removed.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration, it is recommended that the first dose be taken before bedtime. The usual dose for adults is 1 tablet (2.5 mg) 3 times a day. The starting dose for elderly patients is 1 tablet each morning and evening, and the maximum dose is 4 tablets (10 mg) a day. Patients with renal impairment: The starting dose should be 1 tablet (2.5 mg) 2 times a day, and then the dose should be adjusted according to clinical response. Patients with mild and moderate liver impairment: The starting dose should be 1 tablet (2.5 mg) 1 time a day, and then increased to 1 tablet 2 times a day according to clinical response.

Adverse Reactions

Common adverse reactions include dizziness, weakness, headache, rapid heartbeat, and occasionally postural hypotension, hot flashes, drowsiness, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, syncope, dry mouth, and rash. If adverse reactions occur, please inform your doctor immediately.

1. Patients who are allergic to this product are prohibited from using this product. 2. Patients with low blood pressure and postural hypotension are prohibited from using this product. 3. Patients with severe liver damage are prohibited from using this product. 4. Children and women are prohibited from using this product.

Drug Interactions

This product should be used with caution when used in combination with antihypertensive drugs and angina pectoris drugs.
