Prulifloxacin Tablets

The drug targets bacterial DNA and inhibits the function of DNA topoisomerase II and IV, preventing bacterial DNA from forming supercoils and causing irreversible damage to chromosomes, which results in bacterial cells being unable to divide and reproduce, thus producing an antibacterial effect. This effect is generally highly selective for bacteria and safe for the human body.

Prulifloxacin. Chemical name: (plusmn;)-6-fluoro-1-methyl-7-[4-(5-methyl-2-oxo-1,3-dioxol-4-yl)methyl-1-piperazinyl]-4-oxo-4-hydrogen-[1,3]thiazine[3,2-a]quinoline-3-carboxylic acid.

It is different from the traditional bactericidal mode and does not have the drug resistance phenomenon of other antibiotics. This drug has a broad antibacterial spectrum and has significant therapeutic effects on both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
