Prulifloxacin Tablets
Function and Efficacy
The drug targets bacterial DNA and inhibits the function of DNA topoisomerase II and IV, preventing bacterial DNA from forming supercoils and causing irreversible damage to chromosomes, which results in bacterial cells being unable to divide and reproduce, thus producing an antibacterial effect. This effect is generally highly selective for bacteria and safe for the human body.
Ingredients
Prulifloxacin. Chemical name: (plusmn;)-6-fluoro-1-methyl-7-[4-(5-methyl-2-oxo-1,3-dioxol-4-yl)methyl-1-piperazinyl]-4-oxo-4-hydrogen-[1,3]thiazine[3,2-a]quinoline-3-carboxylic acid.

Indication
It is used to treat the following infections caused by Staphylococci, gonococci, pneumococci, enterococci, Moraxella, Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella (except typhoid and paratyphoid bacteria), citric acid bacteria, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Serratia, Proteus, Vibrio cholerae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Streptococcus aureus that are sensitive to prulifloxacin: (1) superficial skin infections (acute superficial folliculitis, infectious impurities), deep skin infections (cellulitis, erysipelas, furunculosis, furunculosis, carbuncle, suppurative perionychia), chronic pyoderma (infected sebaceous cysts, suppuration, etc.).
Usage and Dosage
This product belongs to the quinolone antibiotics. It inhibits the activity of bacterial DNA topoisomerase II and IV, inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis, and completes the bactericidal effect. It is different from the traditional bactericidal mode and does not have the drug resistance phenomenon of other antibiotics. This drug has a broad antibacterial spectrum and has significant therapeutic effects on both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It is particularly sensitive to Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and its antibacterial power exceeds that of other oxazolidinones and other currently marketed antibiotics.
Adverse Reactions
Eosinopenia and elevated liver GPT were mild.
Precautions
1. Use with caution in patients with severe renal insufficiency (due to the continuous maintenance of high blood drug concentration, the dosage should be reduced or the medication should be taken at intervals) and patients with convulsive diseases such as epilepsy or a history of such diseases; 2. Pregnant women are prohibited from using this product.
