Function and Efficacy
Vitamin C is involved in amino acid metabolism, the synthesis of neurotransmitters, the synthesis of collagen and tissue cell interstitial. It can reduce the permeability of capillaries, accelerate blood coagulation, stimulate coagulation function, promote iron absorption in the intestine, promote the decrease of blood lipids, increase resistance to infection, participate in detoxification function, have antihistamine effects and prevent the formation of carcinogens (nitrosamines).

Appearance
This product is white or slightly yellowish tablets.
Indication
It is used to prevent scurvy and can also be used as an auxiliary treatment for various acute and chronic infectious diseases and purpura.
Usage and Dosage
Oral. For vitamin C supplementation: 50-100 mg per day for adults. For the treatment of vitamin C deficiency: 100-200 mg once, 3 times a day for adults; 100-300 mg per day for children. Take for at least 2 weeks.
Adverse Reactions
1. Long-term use of 2-3g per day can cause scurvy after drug withdrawal. 2. Long-term use of large amounts of vitamin C can occasionally cause urate, cysteine or oxalate stones. 3. Rapid intravenous injection can cause dizziness and syncope.

Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product can pass through the placenta and be secreted into breast milk. Pregnant women who consume a large amount of this product every day may be harmful to the fetus, but this has not been confirmed by animal experiments. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
Drug Interactions
1. Large doses of vitamin C can interfere with the anticoagulant effect of anticoagulants. 2. When used in combination with barbiturates or primidone, it can increase the excretion of vitamin C. 3. Sodium cellulose phosphate can promote the metabolism of vitamin C into oxalate. 4. When vitamin C is used for a long time or in large quantities, it can interfere with the effect of disulfiram on ethanol. 5. Salicylic acid can increase the excretion of vitamin C. 6. It should not be used in combination with alkaline drugs (such as aminophylline, sodium bicarbonate, sodium glutamate, etc.), riboflavin, chlorobutanol, copper, and iron ion (trace) solutions to avoid affecting the efficacy. 7. When used in combination with vitamin K3, because the latter is oxidizing, it can produce a redox reaction, which will weaken or eliminate the efficacy of both.
