Function and ApplicationFunction

Amantadine hydrochloride, an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H18ClN, can inhibit the penetration of the virus into host cells, affect the uncoating of the virus, inhibit its reproduction, and play a role in the treatment and prevention of viral infections.
1. 1-Adamantanamine hydrochloride is used in the prophylactic or symptomatic treatment of influenza A. It is also used as an antiparkinsonian agent, to treat extra pyramidal reactions, and for postherpetic neuralgia. It is also used an NMDA-receptor antagoinst.
2. antiviral, antiparkinsonian; treatment of drug-induced extrapyrimidal reactions
3. 1-Adamantanamine hydrochloride prevents viral penetration into the host cell and affects viral decapitation, resulting in inhibition of viral proliferation. It promotes the release of dopamine.
4. Amantadine hydrochloride is indicated for Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's syndrome, drug-induced extrapyramidal disorders, Parkinson's syndrome after carbon mono xide poisoning and Parkinson's syndrome in the elderly with cerebral arteriosclerosis. It is also used for the prevention and treatment of respiratory infections caused by influenza A virus.
