Preparation method:
4-AMINOPENTAN-2-ONE can be prepared in a variety of ways, the following is a possible preparation method:
1-bromo-4-pentene is reacted with ammonia to produce 4-aminoamyl alcohol.
Then, 4-aminopentyl alcohol is reacted with an amide forming agent, such as an acid anhydride, to form 4-AMINOPENTAN-2-ONE.
