Calcium Stearate is widely used in battery industry as oxidant and bleach. It is also used as polymerization initiator, fiber industry desizing agent; And can be used as metal and semiconductor material surface treatment agent, printing circuit etching agent; It is also widely used in oil fracturing, flour and starch processing industry, grease industry, and in photography industry to remove sea waves.

Calcium stearate is White powder, insoluble in water, cold ethanol and eth yl ether, soluble in organic solvents such as hot benzene, benzene and turpentine, slightly soluble in hot ethanol and eth yl ether.When heated to 400ºC, it will decompose slowly and be flammable. When met with strong acid, it will decompose into stearic acid and corresponding calcium salt, which has hygroscopic property.

Main Functions

1.Widely used as a heat stabilizer in PVC rigid products, with salt-based lead salts and lead soap, it can improve the gelation speed.
2.As a halogen absorber in polypropylene and polyethylene, it can eliminate the negative effects of residual catalysts in the resin on the colour and stability of the resin.
3.Also used as a lubricant for polyolefin fibres and mouldings.
4.Used as a mould release agent, plasticizer, thickening agent for grease, waterproofing agent for textiles, smoothing agent for paint industry, etc. in rubber processing.
5.It can also be used as food additive, feed additive, cosmetics, etc.
