What is Vitamin C?
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, chemically named L-(+) -sularate-type 2,3,4,5, 6-pentahydroxy-2-hexenoic acid-4-lactone, also known as L-ascorbic acid, molecular formula is C6H8O6, molecular weight is 176.12.

Vitamin C is a white powder with a molecular weight of 176.12 and is usually a sheet and sometimes needle-shaped monoclinic crystal. Odorless, acid taste, soluble in water, slightly soluble in e-thanol, insoluble in ether, chloroform, petroleum ether and other organic solvents. It is involved in the complex metabolic process of the body and can promote growth and enhance resistance to disease. It can be used as a nutritional supplement, antioxidant, and also as a wheat flour amendment. However, excessive supplementation of vitamin C is not beneficial to health, but harmful, so it needs to be used rationally. Vitamin C is used in the laboratory as an analytical reagent, such as a reducing agent, masking agent, etc.
