    2. Hydrogen is a chemical element, the symbol H, in the first place in the periodic table. It dissolves in approximately 50 volumes of water at 0℃. It is asphyxiating at high concentrations. It spreads and penetrates extremely easily. Strong reducing agent, which has a penetrating effect on steel, causes hydrogen embrittlement. A hydrogen molecule is composed of two isomers, and the ratio of normal to secondary hydrogen at room temperature is 75:25. As the temperature decreases, the proportion of secondary hydrogen increases, accompanied by the release of conversion heat. At 20.4K, the balanced composition is 0.2:99.8. Hydrogen is non-toxic, but it cannot sustain life. It can form explosive mixtures when mixed with air and cause combustion and explosion when exposed to open flames or high heat. It can undergo violent chemical reactions with fluorine, chlorine, etc. When burning, no flame can be seen. It is prone to explosion when mixed with air, oxygen, chlorine, etc. The self-ignition temperature is 571.2t. The flammability limit in the air is 4.0% to 75.0%.

    Production method
    It is obtained through purification processes such as catalytic deoxidation, drying and low-temperature adsorption using electrolytic hydrogen as raw material. The various methods for its production also include low-temperature liquefaction, metal hydride hydrogen purification, palladium membrane diffusion, hollow fiber membrane diffusion, and pressure swing adsorption, etc.

    Purpose
    High-purity hydrogen is mainly used in the manufacturing of large-scale integrated circuits, providing a reducing atmosphere and serving as the backing gas for preparing mixed gases such as SiH4/H2, PH3/H2, B2 H6/H2, etc. In the production process of electro-vacuum materials and devices, the purity of hydrogen is also required to be very high. The metal components such as the anode, cathode and grid of the electron tube all need to undergo special hydrogen burning treatment. In addition, it is used as a protective gas and carrier gas in the epitaxial process of silicon and gallium arsenide.

    Safety
    Non-toxic. At very high concentrations, anesthetic effects can occur. Contact with liquids can cause frostbite. Flammable compressed gas. Store in a cool and well-ventilated warehouse. The temperature in the warehouse should not exceed 30℃. Keep away from fire sources and heat sources. Prevent direct sunlight. It should be stored separately from oxygen, compressed air, halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine), oxidants, etc. It is strictly forbidden to store and transport together. Prevent impact and exposure to sunlight.
