 Tropicamide, white crystalline powder; odorless. Easily soluble in etol or cm, slightly soluble in water; easily soluble in dilute hydr acid or dilute sulid. The molecular formula is C17H20N2O2, the molecular weight is 284.35300, the density is 1.161g/cm, the melting point is 98 °C, the boiling point is 492.8ºC at 760mmHg, the flash point is 251.8ºC, and the refractive index is 1.586.

Tropicamide is an anticholinergic drug that can block the excitatory effect of iris sphincter and ciliary muscle caused by acetylcholine. Clinically, it is mainly used to treat mydriasis and accommodative paralysis.

Recommended Storage:
Tropicamide is recommended to store it in a cool, dry place, sealed from outside air. We ship the product in a double sealed bag which can be resealed. Another container is recommended sealing from outside air.

Indications for tropicamide include mydriasis (pupil dilation) for ophthalmoscopic examination, refraction assessment, and treatment of anterior uveitis. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to anticholinergics, narrow-angle glaucoma, or acute inflammation of the eye. Common side effects may include temporary blurred vision, photophobia, or mild ocular irritation, while rare systemic reactions like dry mouth or tachycardia may occur with excessive absorption.
