    Introduction

    QCY-3152 is a diethylene glycol-phthalic anhydride-based aromatic polyester polyol used in producing rigid polyurethane foam. It offers excellent hydrolysis resistance, good thermal stability, a low viscosity for easier blending, and promotes adhesion to various substrates.                     

    It is widely applied in construction insulation, sandwich panels, home appliances, coating etc.

      Characteristics and Applications of Polyester Polyols


             From a chemical composition perspective, polyester polyols are polymer compounds formed by esterification, dehydration, and polymerization reactions of polyacids (such as adipic acid, isophthalic acid, etc.) and polyols (such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, etc.) under specific conditions. Its molecular structure contains both ester groups (- COO -) and multiple hydroxyl groups (-0H), which endows polyester polyols with unique chemical activity and physical properties. It is precisely because of the reactivity of hydroxyl groups that they can undergo chemical reactions with various compounds such as isocyanates and epoxy resins, forming cross-linked structures that bring excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and weather resistance to the final product. For example, when preparing polyurethane materials. The hydroxyl group of polyester polyol reacts with the - NCO group of isocyanate to form the basic structure of polyurethane, which determines the performance of polyurethane products
