                                              (S,S)-2,2'-Isopropylidenebis(4-tert-butyl-2-oxazoline), commonly known as (S,S)-t-BuBOX, is a chiral bisoxazoline ligand with the molecular formula C₁₇H₃₀N₂O₂ and a molecular weight of 294.43 g/mol. This white to off-white crystalline powder is a member of the widely used Box (bisoxazoline) family of chiral ligands, featuring two oxazoline rings connected via an isopropylidene bridge, each bearing a tert-butyl substituent. The compound forms stable complexes with various transition metals (Cu, Zn, Ni, Pd, etc.) and is extensively used in asymmetric catalysis for a broad range of enantioselective transformations, including cyclopropanation, Diels-Alder reactions, and conjugate additions.
