    Action Mechanism

    Dihexa is an optimized structural analogue derived from Angiotensin IV. It features N-terminal hexanoyl modification and C-terminal Ahx-amidation, which greatly improves enzymatic stability, lipophilicity and blood-brain barrier penetration capacity.

    Dihexa binds to Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) with high affinity (Kd = 65 pM). It acts as an allosteric potentiator, stabilizing HGF-c-Met complex formation and amplifying downstream signal transduction. Activated c-Met triggers PI3K/Akt, MAPK/ERK and STAT3 pathways in neurons, supporting multiple biological effects: promoting neurite outgrowth, stimulating synaptogenesis, enhancing synaptic plasticity, resisting neuronal apoptosis and modulating neuroinflammation.

    Different from many traditional neurotrophic research compounds, Dihexa mainly functions by enhancing endogenous HGF signal rather than direct receptor agonism. Preclinical animal studies demonstrate its effects on learning, memory and neural tissue repair.
