Product Overview

Neutral aluminum oxide (CAS 1344-28-1) is an inorganic compound with the molecular formula Al₂O₃ and a molecular weight of 101.96 g/mol. It is a white powder that is insoluble in water. Neutral alumina is widely used as a stationary phase in column chromatography, as a catalyst support, and as an adsorbent in various purification processes. It is available in different mesh sizes including 100-200 mesh and 200-300 mesh.

Synthetic Process

Neutral alumina is typically produced by the calcination of aluminum hydroxide or aluminum salts at elevated temperatures, followed by controlled hydration to achieve the desired surface properties.
