Description

Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of ciprofloxacin and is a synthetic second-generation quinolone antibiotic. It has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and a strong bactericidal effect, being 2–4 times more effective against almost all bacteria than norfloxacin and enoxacin. It works against enterobacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Haemophilus influenzae, gonococci, streptococci, Legionella, and Staphylococcus aureus.
