cis-Aconitic acid is the cis-isomer of aconitic acid, a naturally occurring tricarboxylic acid found in various plants. It is supplied as a reference standard (HPLC≥97%) for phytochemical and analytical research.

Synthetic Process
The compound is obtained from natural plant sources through solvent extraction followed by multi-step purification, including crystallization and chromatography, to achieve ≥97% purity. It can also be prepared by dehydration of citric acid.

Mechanism of Action
