6-Bromooxazolo[4,5-b]pyridine Use and Manufacturing
Preparation 56-Bromo-oxazolo[4, 5-b]pyridine[00122] 2-Amino-5-bromo-3-hydroxypyridine (200 mg, 1.06 mmol) is dissolved in 3 ml of triethylortoformate and a catalytic amount of p-toluenesulfonic acid is added. The mixture is heated to reflux for 5 h, then cooled, diluted with DCM and washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution. The organic phase is dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and evaporated to dryness. The residue is purified by flash column chromatography to afford 212 mg (60percent) of the title compound.
