2-Chlorobenzenediazonium Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Take o-nitrochlorobenzene as raw material, use iron powder as reducing agent in the presence of hydrochloric acid, reflux for 6-8h, add sodium hydroxide solution to neutralize, distill, and add hydrochloric acid to form salt. After salting out, filtering and drying, the finished product is obtained.

Uses

The yellow base GC is mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton fibers and fabrics. Coupling with Naphthol AS-G, AS-L3G, AS-L4G dyes pure yellow; Coupling with Naphthol AS dyes orange. Strong coupling force and medium coupling speed. It is also used for dyeing viscose fiber, silk, nylon and diacetate fiber. O-chloroaniline is also an important intermediate for fine chemicals such as dyes and pesticides.
