4-Chloro-3-quinolinecarbonitrile The title compound is prepared by the procedure of Example 9, using 1.6 g of 4-hydroxy-3-quinoline-carbonitrile and 50 ml of phosphorus oxychloride. The product is recrystallized from hexane to give 0.78 g of yellow crystals, mp 121-123oC. (Lit mp 129-130oC)
