THESE ALKALOIDS APPLIED TO ...HUMAN EYES BY SUBCONJUNCTIVAL INJECTION ALSO LOWERED THE INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE FOR SEVERAL DAYS, PRESUMABLY BY POISONING THE AQ SECRETORY MECHANISM, BUT CHEMOSIS & CORNEAL EDEMA WERE TOO MUCH FOR ANTIGLAUCOMA THERAPEUTIC USE.
