A phenyl urea herbicide. Pre-emergent herbicide. Diuron is a urea compound used as a preemergence herbicide in soils to control germinating broad-leaved grasses and weeds in crops such as apples, cotton, grapes, pears, pineapple and alfalfa; sugar cane ?owering depressant.
