ETHYL3,3,3-TRIFLUOROPROPIONATE Use and Manufacturing

In the reactor were added successively 0.08gWOOxalyl choride (34.1 ml, 390 mmol) was added dropwise to a stirred solution of 3, 3, 3-trifluoropropionic acid (50.0 g, 390 mmol) and DMF (5 drops) in DCM (400 ml). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 18 h. Pyridine (31.6 ml, 390 mmol) followed by ethanol (21.6 g, 469 mmol) were then added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 18 h and diluted with DCM. The DCM solution was washed with 2M HCL, water, saturated sodium hydrogen carbonate solution and brine.
