Epipregnanolone is an epimer of the hyponotic-anaesthetic agent Pregnanolone (P711300). Epipregnanolone displaysanesthetic, hypnotic, and sedative properties. Epipregnanolone has been shown to reduce alcohol self-administration in rats.
