EDIT: So could it be that my product is actually the low intensity peak at 33 ppm and has a large amount of contamination from smth that peaks at 17 ppm? :thinking_face:More

My bad, we did use P(OEt) 3 to make triethylphosphonoacetate. So an SN2 reaction should be possible again I would say.More
