It's pretty common. There are also membrane filters for syringes if you need it for NMR for example. Or I use them with any type of application where I have solvent with molecular sieve. They're not that expensive.More

Yeah it‘s fairly normal, just wait for it to settle down before you take the solvent out, mol sieve dust can mess up your NMR spectra.More
