My two cents for your reference: The Langmuir–Hinshelwood kinetic model is the most popular in photocatalysis, you can find in many papers which discuss the kinetics of photocatalytic reaction. Its base is adsorption/desorption equilibrium, which you can find in general Physical Chemistry textbook. However, not clear that you did removal of color or TOC. Because photocatalytic decomposition of methyl orange will generate millions of intermediate products, the analysis of L-H will be very complicated, the content of which possibly worth being another manuscript. If you simply respond the reviewer, use the first order relation dC/dt=kC is fine, but too …… possibly devalue your manuscript.

In most cases a first order relationship is obtained for the decolorization, e.g. TiO2 and methylene blue/methyl orange. You can evaluate the rate konstant from ln(c/c0) vs. t. Rate konstants obtained at different temperatures can be used to determine the activation energy. For comparison with literature you can take many examples. But I still have doubts to compare values in photocatalysis obtained under different experimental conditions.
